In addition, our company and its property and casualty insurance representatives have an obligation of confidentiality under their code of ethics.

Geska Assurances et Conseils collects personal information in particular for the following reasons :

  • In order to be able to communicate with you and to allow the evaluation and pricing of risks that will enable the issue, modification or renewal of insurance policies.
  • To meet your insurance needs and answer any questions you may have about your personal or business situation.
  • Accompany you through the claims settlement process and help you settle with the claims adjuster assigned to your file by the insurer.
  • To detect and prevent fraud.
  • To analyze our financial results, compile statistics, perform administrative tasks such as accounting, IT systems management, etc.
  • To conduct modeling activities related to marketing and risk assessment.
  • To provide reports to regulatory and other industry bodies.
  • To promote Geska Assurances et Conseils and its products and services to customers, prospects and partners.
  • The information collected is used to train our employees and ensure quality control.

DEFINITION OF PERSONAL INFORMATIONS


"Personal Information" means any information about an identifiable individual, including race, criminal record, employment and financial history, but does not include the name and title of an employee of a company or organization, the address or telephone number of their employer. The law applies exclusively to information collected, used or disclosed in the course of commercial activities.


FILE INFORMATIONS


We try to the best of our ability to keep the information in our files accurate, complete and up-to-date. If an individual wishes to obtain a copy of their personal file, they must contact the Privacy Officer. If an error is found in the file, we will correct it as quickly as possible.


SUBMISSIONS CONFIDENTALITY

 

TELEPHONE SUBMISSION :


During telephone interaction with customers (or prospects) to establish their needs, a quote, a service offer or an insurance contract :

  • It is understood that our interlocutor gives his consent to the collection, retention, use and disclosure of his personal information for the following purposes ;
  • It is also understood that the latter has received the consent of all persons interested or mentioned in the tender or insurance contract that involves it ;
  • If the quotation or insurance contract concerns an individual other than the interlocutor, the broker must at all times ensure that the consent of the individual concerned is obtained directly, in compliance with the Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector.


Telephone conversations may be recorded or listened to for training and customer service quality control purposes.


As for the use of the information obtained, it is understood that it will be shared with the various insurers during the quote process and for the duration of your insurance contract, if applicable.


ONLINE SUBMISSION :


When a customer (or prospect) fills out a quote form through Geska.ca for different products :

  • He agrees to be contacted by a Geska broker for the purpose of discussing his file, providing him with the requested quote and promoting Geska's products and services ;
  • He consents to Geska using his personal information to determine his needs and provide a quote for the product requested.


PERSONAL DATA PROTECTION POLICY


We are committed to protecting the privacy of the users of this site. Below you will find an explanation of the procedure used to process information relating to visitors to the site.
